Ladies of Messiah September Meeting

Cost of Parochial Schooling Reduced

Both Emanuel Lutheran School in New London and Bethlehem Lutheran School in Hortonville have lowered the cost of tuition for all WELS families that are not members of Bethlehem or Emanuel. The tuition cost for all WELS members is now the same as it would be if you were a member of the congregation with the school (previously, there was a significant discount for being a member of the congregation that had the school).

If you are interested in providing your child with a good education that includes learning about the Savior's love and forgiveness every day, email pastor for more information pastor@messiahshiocton.org. Preschool - 8th grade education available.

Next January (2011) Pastor Daniel Cole from St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Maribel (WELS) will be hosting a trip to Israel, including Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Galilee, and many other places where Jesus walked and talked during his ministry on this earth. A trip like this can give a great deal of perspective to the historical accounts we find in God’s Word.

Empty Ink Cartridges to Help Troops

If you have empty computer printer ink cartridges for Dell/HP/Lexmark printers, please bring them to church, and our Ladies of Messiah will deliver them to Office Max (in Appleton). Office Max will donate $3.00 for each cartridge for the support of our troops.

Care Packages and Gifts for Troops

The Ladies of Messiah are providing encouragement to our soldiers in the war by gathering gifts for the troops. If you would like to have items included, please speak to Carla Conradt. More information can be found in the narthex.
